▸ ABOUT KELLOGG COMPANY
The Kellogg Company was founded on February 19, 1906 in Battle Creek, Michigan, as the Battle Creek Toasted Corn Flake Company by Will Keith Kellogg, and grew into one of the world's largest breakfast-cereal and snack makers under brands like Corn Flakes, Frosted Flakes, Rice Krispies, Pringles, and Pop-Tarts. On October 2, 2023, the company split into two independent public companies: Kellanova (global snacking, including Pringles and Pop-Tarts) and WK Kellogg Co (North American cereal). As of late 2025, both successor companies were themselves acquired — Ferrero completed its purchase of WK Kellogg Co in September 2025, and Mars completed its roughly $36 billion acquisition of Kellanova in December 2025 — so the original Kellogg Company no longer exists as an independent entity.
