About Frog Hop

Frog Hop is a neon-drenched Frogger-style arcade game built for PixPause. Guide your frog across five lanes of oncoming traffic, then across a log-covered river, to safely reach one of the five lily pads at the top. Each successful crossing scores points and fills a pad — fill all five to clear the level.

The game features escalating difficulty with every level: vehicles move faster, log gaps widen, and the timer tightens. You start with 3 lives — lose all three and it's game over. Quick reflexes and good timing are everything.

How to Play

1. Move with Arrow Keys or WASD on desktop. On mobile, use the on-screen D-pad.
2. Cross the road — 5 lanes of neon cars and trucks. Time your hops between gaps.
3. Cross the river — hop onto logs and lily pads floating downstream. Fall in the water and you lose a life.
4. Reach a lily pad at the top to score points. All 5 pads must be filled to clear the level.
5. Timer: Each crossing attempt has 15 seconds. Run out of time and you lose a life.

Scoring

• Each hop forward: +10 points
• Reaching a lily pad: +200 points
• Time bonus: Remaining seconds × 20 points per pad landing
• Level clear bonus: +500 × level number
• Extra life at 5,000 points (once per game)

Tips & Strategy

• Watch the pattern: Traffic and logs move in fixed lanes at fixed speeds — observe two or three cycles before committing to a crossing.
• Use the safe median: The strip between the road and river is safe. Pause there and wait for a clear river path.
• Ride logs sideways: While riding a log you can move left and right to stay centred. Use this to line up with a lily pad.
• Don't rush to the sides: Logs that reach the screen edge will carry you off — always be ready to hop to the next log.
