About Blackjack

PixPause Blackjack uses full casino rules — for entertainment only, no real money. Start with 1,000 chips. Place a bet using the chip buttons, then deal. Try to beat the dealer's hand by getting closer to 21 without going over (busting).

The dealer hits on soft 16 and below, stands on soft 17 and above. Blackjack (Ace + 10-value card) pays 3:2. Uses a 6-deck shoe reshuffled at 25% penetration.

Rules & Special Actions

• Hit — take another card
• Stand — keep your hand, end your turn
• Double Down — double your bet, take exactly one more card
• Split — split a matching-value pair into two hands (plays each separately)
• Insurance — available when dealer shows an Ace. Side bet of half your stake. Pays 2:1 if dealer has blackjack

Basic Strategy Tips

• Always split Aces and 8s
• Never split 10s or 5s
• Double down on 11 almost always
• Stand on hard 17+ regardless of dealer's card
• Hit on soft 17 (Ace + 6)
