About Beat Tap

Beat Tap is a neon retro rhythm arcade game. Notes fall down four colour-coded lanes to a target hit zone at the bottom. Press the corresponding key (D, F, J, K) or tap the lane button when a note reaches the glowing hit line. Timing determines your judgement — PERFECT, GOOD, or MISS.

Chain consecutive non-miss hits to build your combo multiplier up to ×8. One miss breaks your streak. Three tracks of increasing speed and note density.

Tracks & Scoring

• ♩ Chill Wave — 60 BPM, relaxed note density, good for learning the game
• ♫ Neon Rush — 100 BPM, moderate density, introduces simultaneous notes
• ♬ Hyper Blitz — 150 BPM, intense patterns, fast double-taps required

Scoring: PERFECT = 300 pts × combo mult | GOOD = 100 pts × combo mult | MISS = 0, resets combo. Rank is determined by accuracy percentage at song end.

Tips

• Keep your fingers resting on D F J K at all times — don't move to hit
• Watch the note approaching the hit zone, not the zone itself
• On Hyper Blitz, double notes arrive simultaneously — press both keys at once
• GOOD still counts for combo — don't panic-miss trying for PERFECT
